Obituary Notice
Mary Beth Blee

Mary Beth Blee died at the age of 67 on November 27, 2010 at her home, of Myeloplastic Syndrome. A celebration of life will be held at Rhythm and Brew on December 5th from 2 to 5 p.m. Her body has been cremated and a private burial will take place at another time.
I was born Mary Elizabeth Tempel on May 12, 1943, to Robert and Camillis (Hilger) Tempel in Winnebago, MN. I was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Rochester from 1961-1973. On March 11, 1978, I married Jerry Blee and became the instant step-mother of his four children.
During my 67 years of life I pursued careers as a teacher, nurse, energy practitioner, and library assistant. I was active with Red Wing Hospice for twenty years. Upon retirement from my last job, I volunteered at the Lake City Food Shelf. I loved hanging out with my husband, spending time with (grand)children and adults listening to their stories. I loved telling mine as well. I also enjoyed reading, crocheting and needlework, riding my recumbent bicycle with my husband, brothers and sisters-in-law along the Root River and Cannon Valley Trails, listening to Old Time Radio on WPR, making cards on the computer and giving things away. Above all else I consider myself a seeker of spiritual truth and a teacher. I carry these traits with me into the next life.
I am survived by my beloved husband, Jerry: the 4 awesome children born to him and his first wife, Yvonne: Therese (Joe) Bertsch, of Andover, Beth (Gregg) Koenig of Eagan, Lisa Blee (Kenny Bergman) of Eagan, and Stuart Blee (Erika Bradach) of Aurora, MN: 12 delightful grandchildren: Lexi, Haley, Nate, Cole, Shannon, Brian, Amy, Tess, Max, Sophie, Wolfgang, and Frances: 4 much-loved brothers and their spouses: Joe (Kay) Tempel of Blue Earth, MN, Larry (Elizabeth) Tempel of Savage, MN, Tom (Nancy) Tempel, of Minneapolis, Jerry (Sandy) Tempel of Waterloo, IA: in-laws Dorothy and George Kruger, Colleen and Mildred Blee: Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other special friends acquired over the years.
Thank you for the comfort and support you are giving to my loved ones as they learn to live without my physical presence!
