Mary Belle "Mitzi" Anderson, 80, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Fairview Seminary Home. She was born Oct. 4, 1930, in Red Wing, to Henning and Leona (Siepelmeyer) Anderson. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1948 and then attended Carthage College. On Sept. 8, 1951, she married Robert C. "Curly" Anderson in Red Wing. She worked at Red Wing Pottery and Mount Frontenac, before starting at Josten's, where she worked as a Linotype Machinist, until retiring in 1999. For many years, she and fellow classmates from high school "The 48ers" would travel to various places throughout the states. She also enjoyed spending time at Breezy Point, golfing, bowling, playing bridge and collecting Red Wing Pottery. She also loved music-listening to all types as well as singing. Children were always special to her, and she had been a past Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, as well as a youth choir director at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a member. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by 3 sons, Jon (Rita) Anderson of Ellsworth WI, Mitchell (Suzanne) Anderson of Cold Spring, MN and Greg (Domonique) Anderson of Red Wing; 2 daughters, Kim (Lee) Mensinger of Red Wing and Kristin (Thomas) Martin of Maiden Rock, WI.; grandchildren, Adam (Liz Bohl) Anderson, Teresa (Jeff) Anderson, & Laura (Adam) Hicks, Sarah (Christopher) Lougheed, Rebecca (Adam) Ripple, & Carl (Teddi) Anderson, Jordan, Kyle (Kortney) & Mac Anderson, Zachary & Sadie Mensinger, Jeffrey Martin and; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Elaine "Sis" Kayser of Thief River Falls & Alice Noce of Silver City, NM; brother, Clifford (Joan) Anderson of Kansas City, MO & sisters-in-law, Carol of Rapid City, SD, Joyce of Red Wing and Garnet of Hastings.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband Robert C. "Curly" Anderson and 3 brothers, Dennis, Neal and Robert Anderson.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Lake City. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
