Mary "LaRayne" Andrist

Mary "LaRayne" Andrist, 93, of Lake City, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at the Lake City Care Center. She was born April 28, 1922 in Kasson, Minnesota to Homer and Blanche (Barber) Kellar and graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1940. She was united in marriage to James Andrist on June 1, 1941 in Lanesboro, Minnesota. They lived several places throughout their lifetime, coming to Lake City in 1998. Jim died Oct. 14, 1998. LaRayne loved sewing, knitting, canning and cooking.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Linda Nickels of Lewiston and Lori Haradon of Lake City; a son, Kevin Andrist of Racine, Wisc; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Kurt and 9 siblings.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel in Lake City with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
