Marvin Michael Weber, 81, of Bay City, died Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at his home. He was born July 17, 1943 in Pearl Lake, Minn. to Marcus and Loretta (Schreifels) Weber. He graduated from Albany High School, class of 1961. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962 where he served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1965. He married Janice Wald in 1966 in Alma, Wisc. The couple raised two children and later divorced. He made his home in Stockholm, Wis on a farm that he loved. In addition to farming, he worked for 3 years at Univac. He put in 18 years with Durkee Atwood and finally, 5 years with the City of Red Wing. Not one to be idle, following his retirement from the city, he went to work part time for his son-in-law at Brown Seed.
He was a member of St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City. He was Pepin County Conservation Farmer of the Year Award recipient.
Marvin enjoyed traveling and he spent 7 years wintering in Florida. He also enjoyed attending a good county or state fair where he could watch a tractor pull. He loved his life on the farm where he could work closely with the animals. He was very proud of his children and their success in life. Marvin was thoughtful and generous. He went out of his way to help others and he firmly believed that if you worked hard in life, good things would happen.
He is survived by his children, Terri (John) Kuesel of Bay City, and Doug (Joely) of Woodville, Wisc.; 4 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren, Cody Raebel, Logan (Katlyn Schneider) Weber, Owen Weber, Alayna Weber, Jordan (Kait) Eggenberger, Tyler (Laura Deusterman) Eggenberger, Spencer (Aubrey) Kuesel, and Levi (Ashley) Kuesel; one great-granddaughter, Ivy; and 7 step great-grandchildren, Lexi, Harper, Livi, Max, Miles, Hadley, and Millie; 6 siblings, Roger (Millie) Weber, Melvin (Patricia) Weber, Sandra Schultz, Linda (Bill) Stelton, Tom (Lorraine) Weber, and Lloyd (Connie) Weber; and step-sister, Paulette Wieberdink; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, LeRoy, DuWayne, and Sharon; and his parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2025 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service.
