Martin James Mullenbach, age 45, of Bay City, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. He was born on June 26, 1966 in Stewartville, to Leon and Johnnetta (St. George) Mullenbach. They moved to Red Wing when Marty was eight years old. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1985 and attended the Red Wing Vocational School and was a skilled carpenter and worked many years for Schoeder Construction and most recently at the Fairmont Minerals in Bay City. Marty loved the outdoors and enjoyed going up north to his families' cabin to ride his ATV and snowmobile on the trails. He enjoyed animals and loved his two cats. He was always tinkering in his workshop either on wood projects or on a vehicle that needed attention and he was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who would ask.
Marty is survived by his parents Bud and Johnnie Mullenbach of Red Wing; brother Steve (Nancy) Mullenbach of Warsaw, MN; two sisters, Donna (Bob) Richardson of Corcoran and Dora (Randy) Lexvold of Red Wing; two nieces Nicole Kirchoff and Sarah Janovsky; three nephews, Blake and Jacob Mullenbach and Jessie Lexvold and many godchildren and friends.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas Kommers presiding. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
