Martha Ann Behrens, 84, Red Wing, died Sunday, February 26, 2006, at the Fairview Red Wing Hospital. She was born August 28, 1921, in Red Wing to Roy and Anna (Lundquist) Howe. Martha graduated from Red Wing High School in 1939 and enjoyed being editor-in-chief of her year book. She married Kenneth Behrens, May 28, 1949 in Red Wing where they continued to reside. Martha was a homemaker devoted to her family and home and in giving to her friends and community. She was a long-time member of First Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters Marne (Tim) Peterson of Ellsworth, WI, and Gene Ann Behrens of Mt. Joy, PA; daughter-in-law, Laura Behrens of Cedar Rapids, IA; one sister, Jean (Howe) Rehnberg of St. Paul, MN; five grandchildren, Christian and Isaac Behrens; Alyssa Peterson, Jessica Prindle, and Jonathan Peterson; and one great-grandchild, Noah Prindle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, her son, William, and her brother Norman Howe. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, with Reverend Brian Scott officiating. A private family burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one prior to the service.
