Marlow W. ?Pete? Larson age 54 of Zumbrota died suddenly on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. A memorial mass is scheduled for Friday, April 7, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul?s Catholic Church in Zumbrota with Father Tim Dolan officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Friday one hour prior to the mass at the church. Marlow William Larson Jr. was born on February 22, 1952 in Marshall, MN to Marlow and Maxine (nee Loke) Larson. He grew up in the Marshall area and graduated from Marshall Senior High School in 1970. In 1971 he entered the U.S. Army, served during the Vietnam War era and was honorably discharged in 1974. On February 10, 1973 he married his high school sweetheart, Deborah A. Mikel in Marshall. After his discharge, they made their home in Marshall and Pete worked in the grocery business. In 1979 he started working for Schwans and they lived in Indiana. They moved to Red Wing in 1987 and Pete worked for several insurance agencies, owned a liquor store and car wash. They currently own the Zumbrota Liquor Store which they purchased in 2001 and the Laundromat in Zumbrota which they purchased in 2003. He was a lifetime member of the Stary?Yerka VFW Post #5727 in Zumbrota and he enjoyed NASCAR racing, camping and going to auctions. Pete is survived by his wife, Deb, two sons, Dustin and Josh Larson all of Zumbrota, two sisters, Pat (LaVern) Gawarecki and Sandy (Doug) Mosch, both of Marshall, one brother, Don (Mary) Larson of St. Cloud and his step-father, Paul Inden of Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Ron Larson. The family suggests memorials to donor?s choice. Arrangements are with the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota.
