Marlene Elaine Stoerzinger, 84, of West St. Paul, passed away on Friday, February 15 at The Bluffs of Lake City, MN where she resided since 2015. Marlene was born April 18,1934 in South St. Paul to Helen and Conrad Karg. She graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1952. She married Ronald Henry Stoerzinger on October 17, 1953 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in St. Paul.
Marlene was a hard-working stay-at-home Christian mom who wanted to tell about her Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher, shared her faith with others while canvassing with Ron and Kingdom Workers in Canada, and worked as a church secretary at Emanuel Lutheran Church before having children. She sent her children to Emanuel Lutheran School and Saint Croix Lutheran High School so her children would also know and love Christ as much as she and Ron did.
Marlene loved to play the piano and loved musicals. She loved Lucille Ball, Lawrence Welk, and Al Jolsen. She was an avid reader of history and biographies. She could sit down with anybody and give that person a good history lesson. She sold Avon products, cleaned numerous homes and was a volunteer in the emergency room at St. John's Hospital.
Marlene and Ron thoroughly enjoyed traveling. Family vacations included many trips to Evergreen Lodge in Park Rapids and many trips in campers around the United States and Canada. Ron and Marlene continued traveling later in life and made numerous trips to northern Minnesota and California.
She is survived by her sister Rose Callias and brother Dennis Karg.
