Marlene F. Schultz age 67, of Pine Island, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 after a brief illness, she was surrounded by family. A funeral service to celebrate the memory of Marlene will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 AM at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island with Pastor Craig Breimhorst officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Mahler Chapel in Pine Island. Burial will be in the Pine Island Cemetery.
Marlene Francis Wobig was born on December 23, 1950 to Fredrick A. "Fritz" and Lillian M. (Riggers) Wobig in Rochester. She was raised in Pine Island and graduated from Pine Island High School in 1969. Marlene married Robert Schultz in 1978 at the Pine Island Methodist Church. She took care of their home in Pine Island and worked as a sales associate for Montgomery Ward, Menards and a few other local businesses. Marlene was an active member of the Pine Island community, attending bingo nights and volunteering at the Pine Haven Care Center for several years. She was also a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church. Marlene was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed baking, sewing and playing cards with family and friends.
Marlene will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert; brother, Caryl (L. Margaret) Wobig; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces; great nephews; extended family and dear friends.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents.
