Marlene Hubbard

July 16, 1940 — February 28, 2019

Marlene (Micki) Hubbard age 78 passed way surrounded by family at the Lake City Care Center on February 28th, 2019. Micki was born on July 16th, 1940 in Wabasha to Emil and Myrtle Brehmer. She was a long time resident of Lake City.

She is survived by three sons: Jeffrey (Karen) Hubbard of Stewartville, Gregory (Jodi) Hubbard of Eau Claire, Todd (Marla) Hubbard of Lake City and one daughter: Susan (Sam) Thorson of St. Cloud. She cherished her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her two surviving brothers: Leonard (Pat) Brehmer of Wabasha and Rodney Brehmer of Winona. Brother-in-laws Dean Wiebusch of Lake City and John Glomski of Wabasha.

Micki was preceded in death by her parents, brother Arlin Brehmer and sisters Marjorie Schultz, Dorothy Wilson, Florabelle Carsten, Eleanora Glomski and Joyce Wiebusch

She was employed at Great River Homes and retired in 2013. She also helped manage the Colonial Apartments where she resided. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her bible. She liked spending time volunteering at Bluff View Elementary School, working in her garden and time spent with her girlfriends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tefferi of Mayo Clinic and Dr. Pflaum of Olmsted Medical for their years of dedication to Micki's care. We would also like to thank the staff of the Lake City Care Center and Mayo Clinic Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 with a service at 7pm, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. With the Pastor John Hodgell officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery in Theilman, MN to be determined at a later date. On-Line Condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
