Mitzi Lynn Bjork passed away on Sunday May 5th in the arms of her beloved sister Cathy Bee in Stockholm WI. She peacefully and fearlessly passed after an incredible battle with breast cancer and leukemia. Her last few weeks were spent in the comfort of her family and closest friends. Mitzi was born February 1st, 1952 in Red Wing, Minnesota. She spent the majority of her life in pretty little Red Wing where she created lifelong friendships and served as a dedicated member of the community. She was passionate about her many memberships including the Elks Lodge, The Kiwanis, The Red Wing Golf Club, The Chamber of Commerce, Adventure Club and perhaps most importantly, Ladies Tea. However, her most cherished role was that of grandmother to her many adoring grandchildren whom she spent as much time with as she possibly could. She spent her working years at Red Wing Business Systems, KWNG Radio, and of course, her family restaurant, the Brickhouse Pub and Grill. She was greeted in heaven by her parents Ruth and Milo Gilliland and husband Jeff Bjork. Mitzi is survived by her sister Cathy (Don) Bee, her four children: Alan Fjerstad, Jennifer Ryan, Tom Ryan, Shaun Ryan, and her many grandchildren. Her family was blessed to spend the last month with her making meals, laughing, & loving. In her typical, articulate, organized fashion she left the family with her final party plan — to celebrate and honor her legacy at her son Tom Ryan’s country home later this summer with good music, excellent food, family, & friends.
