Mark Gregory Slaughter, 68, of Red Wing, died Monday, March 8, 2021 at his home. He was born December 10, 1952 in Waterloo, Iowa to Thomas and Hilda (Petersen) Slaughter. He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He went on to study at St. Cloud Technical College. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Minneapolis area and later as Tech Supervisor at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Mark liked fast cars, boats and motorcycles. He enjoyed fishing. He made friends easily and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kim Slaughter; children, Carol (Erik) Huard, Adam Slaughter, Alex (Stefanie) Slaughter and Racheal (Ryan) Keith; 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Justen, Jarett, Connor and Zoey; brothers, Scott (Sofia) Slaughter, Dana (Cheryl) Slaughter and Curt (Svetlana) Slaughter; and his father, Thomas (Ione) Slaughter.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Hilda.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Red Wing Elks Lodge, BPOE #845 from 3 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
