Marjorie Yvonne Schlichting

Marjorie Yvonne Schlichting, 85, of Red Wing, died November 13, 2010 at Fairview Seminary Home. She was born on October 6, 1925 to Rudolph and Mary (Jagusch) Bolland. She graduated from Red Wing High School in 1943. She married Dick Schlichting Jr. on June 28, 1947. She worked at La Grange Shoe Company as a payroll clerk for 14 years, and then the Chamber of Commerce for 18 years, retiring in 1987. Dick died in March 14, 1980. She was a member of St. John�'¢?TMs Lutheran Church, past member of the choir, and ladies guild. She also served on the Y Pals advisory board and on the board of directors for American Heart Association. She was an avid sports enthusiast.

Survivors include one son, Keith Schlichting of Red Wing, and one daughter Lori Schlichting of Red Wing. She is preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday November 16, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Reverend Loren Lucht officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Memorials are preferred to the church or to Fairview Red Wing Hospice.
