Marjorie Lorraine Mason

Marjorie Lorraine Mason, 96, of Red Wing died on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at St. Crispin Living Community. She was born in Viewfield, South Dakota on June 9, 1922 to Frederick and Pearl (Bish) Foreman. She graduated from high school in Hill City, South Dakota in 1941. For a number of years, she did housekeeping. Marge was united in marriage to Le Roy Mason on December 27, 1945 in New Castle, Wyoming. They lived in Wyoming, Idaho, South Dakota, and Iowa, before moving to Red Wing in 1959. Marge babysat in her home, worked in housekeeping at St. John's Hospital, and then worked at IRC for 16 years. She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, quilting, embroidery, and spending time with her family.

Marjorie is survived by her two children, Myrlin "Skeeter" (Barbara) Mason of Lake City and Joyce Halpaus of Red Wing; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Margaret Mason of Mansfield, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Le Roy in 2005; son, Robert Mason; two sisters; two brothers; and son-in-law, Ronald Halpaus.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2019 in the Chapel at St. Crispin Living Community. Visitation will be one half hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Burnside Cemetery. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
