Marjorie "Margie" Louise Lee

ROCHESTER - Marjorie "Margie" Lee, age 75, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday Dec. 28, 2016 at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, MN.
Marjorie Louise Myhre was born Aug. 4, 1941 in Spring Grove, MN to Clarence and Alice (Stigen) Myhre.
She was raised in Spring Grove and graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1959. After high school she attended College in Winona for Cosmetology. She started her career as a Beautician in Caledonia, MN before moving to Rochester in 1971. Margie was a Beautician at Samaritan Bethany Nursing Homes for thirty two years, retiring in 2007. She was loved by her client's there, and became close friends with many. She married James Lee in 1973 in Rochester. After retirement she cared for her granddaughter for three years. Margie enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, getting together with family and friends, her Norwegian heritage, and helping others. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her daughter Kristina Afseth of Eyota, MN; her son Brandon (Rose) Lee of Kasson, MN; grandchildren Garett, Gabriella, Daimon, and Keana Lee, and Marissa Afseth; two sisters Valerie Christensen of Preston, MN; and Kathleen (Mike) Nelson of Coralville, IA; her brother Donald Myhre of Rochester; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, sisters Carol Norsdving and Pat Knutz, and her brother Keith Myhre preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday Jan. 2, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Fred Rengstorf officiating. Margie will be cremated following the service. Friends may call from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church, and a reception will be held following the service. Mahn Family Funeral Home - Rochester Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
