Marjorie Jane Goggins

Marjorie (Marge) Goggins, 93, of Red Wing, died on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at St Crispin Living Community the Villa. She was born at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on October 30, 1926 to Earl and Edna (Ripke) Otto. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944 and attended Lawrence University. In 1953 she married Jack Goggins. He died in 1980.

Marjorie was an accomplished musician, she provided piano accompaniments for many choral and instrumental groups and soloists. She was a church choir director, former director of a Sweet Adeline's chorus and was a member of a vocal quartet appearing three times on WTMJ-TV Milwaukee, WI. She served on Riverview Hospital's board of directors and was a past president of the hospital's Auxiliary.

She moved to Phoenix, AZ where she worked as an administrative assistant at a health care company. In 1989 she retired and moved to Red Wing, MN. She helped organize and was the first piano accompanist for the Senior Center's Silver Tones Chorus. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Karry (Lauren) Taylor and Peggy Peterson; one granddaughter and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
