Marjorie Helen Flynn

June 10, 1948 — July 5, 2014

Marjorie Helen Flynn, 66, of Welch, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1948, in West St. Paul, to John and Lucille (Kuhns) Sobaski. She attended Central High School in South St. Paul and went on to attend beauty school. She worked for many years as a beautician at various salons as well as in her home. On September 13, 1975, she married Bruce Flynn at Church of Messiah and they resided in the Welch area. She was employed at Braschler's Bakery for over 15 years and was a member of the Church of Messiah. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading and camping--especially over the fourth of July and going on her "girls' weekends".
Survivors include her husband Bruce; one daughter, Margaret (Jerry) Glenn of Red wing; one son Carey (Hope) Coffey of Red Wing; five grandchildren, Ryan and Alex Coffey, Isaiah, Nathanael and Isabella Glenn; special family friends, Teresa and Dillan Krebsbach and Madisyn Krueger of Hammond, Wisc. and one brother, Kenny (JoAnn) Sobaski of South St. Paul. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother LeRoy "Tony" Sobaski.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Church of Messiah in Welch, with the Very Reverend James Zotalis officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Island Community Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 10 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
