Obituary: Marjorie L. Feigal

Funeral service for Marjorie L. Feigal will be at 11AM on Monday, December 1, 2008 at the United Methodist Church in Pine Island with Reverend Greg Strunk officiating. Casketbearers will be her grandchildren: James Day, Lori Frederic, Matt Feigal, Molly Feigal, Rob Feigal-Stickles, Delaney Kreger-Stickles, Morgan Feigal�Stickles, Ben Feigal, Jordan Feigal, Jacob Feigal, Alexandra Bernini Feigal, Nate Hitch, Justin Hitch, Raymond Feigal and Luke Feigal. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the United Methodist Church.

Marjorie, age 84, of Pine Island died on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Dunn County Health Care Center in Menomonie, WI. She was born Marjorie Lorraine Kottke, on April 17, 1924, in Hutchinson, MN to Jon and Alvina (Studor) Kottke. She lived on the farm and attended school in Hutchinson. Marge graduated from Marshall High School in Minneapolis and attended the University of MN where she met Robert. Feigal. On March 3, 1944 they were married in Minneapolis and, following their marriage, they moved to Chicago where Robert entered the United States Navy. Marge moved back to Pine Island before Robert's discharge and was a homemaker and member of the United Methodist Church. She was active in numerous ladies groups, youth groups, and a teacher for Sunday school. She was also active in the community including volunteer work at Pine Haven Care Center. Marge enjoyed quilting, cooking, sewing and spending time at their cabin in Danbury, WI. Robert died on July 2, 2004.

Marge is survived by three sons: Robert (Cynthia Stickles) of Saint Paul, Michael (Paula) of Menomonie, WI, Mark (Carma) of Boulder, CO; two daughters: Anne (Larry) Day of San Diego, CA, Sue Feigal-Hitch of Lakeville; one brother Willard (Marge) Kottke of Farmington, NM; fifteen grandchildren: James (Adena Tryon) Day, Lori (Matt) Frederic, Matt (Sharon) Feigal, Molly (Kenny Barko) Feigal, Rob Feigal-Stickles, Delaney (Lucas) Kreger-Stickles, Morgan Feigal �Stickles, Ben Feigal, Jordan Feigal, Jacob Feigal, Alexandra Bernini Feigal, Nate Hitch, Justin Hitch, Raymond Feigal, Luke Feigal; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Jon and Alvina, her husband Robert, one brother Kenneth Kottke and one sister Annabelle Duisberg.

Visitation will be from 4-7PM on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the United Methodist Church and one hour before services on Monday.
