Marjorie Eckhoff

Marjorie Marie Eckhoff, 84, of Red Wing, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was born on August 19, 1928 in Pierce County, Wisconsin to Peter and Verna (Fosberg) Linder. She attended country schools in Pierce County and helped on her parent's s farm. On September 18, 1947 she married Virgil Eckhoff in Plum City, Wisconsin. She worked at La Grange Shoe Company in Red Wing and was a housewife and raised her three daughters. She also helped Virgil at his body shop. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Marjorie enjoyed going to their cabin at Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, fishing and bowling, where she was on a bowling league at Nybos Lanes. Her family recalls her love of traveling to Florida to see her daughter and family and the trips to Arizona, California, Yellowstone and Wisconsin. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil of 65 years; three daughters, Linda (Paul) Goodfellow of Winona, Barbara (Steven) Larson of Christmas, Florida and Susanne (Brad) Cutshall of Mantorville, Minn.; six grandchildren, Ben Sadowski, Stacey Sadowski, Lisa Shorten, Mark Larson, Alyssa Cutshall and Katelyn Cutshall; four great grandchildren, Mat, Gavin, Grace, Tyler and Kaylee and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Daryl and Gail Linder and son-in-law, Daniel Sadowski.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery.
