STEWARTVILLE A private memorial service was held for Marion Frenzen at Mahn Family Funeral Home Rochester Chapel.
Mrs. Frenzen, 87, of Stewartville, died Tuesday (May 19, 2009) at Seasons Hospice in Rochester.
Marion Olson was born Aug. 27, 1921 in Lanesboro, MN. She graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1939 and received her teaching degree from Winona State University. She taught in Elementary Schools in Granger, MN; Claremont, MN; St. James, MN; Rushford, MN; and Lanesboro. On Jan. 1, 1948 she married Adrian Frenzen in Lanesboro, where the couple lived before moving to the Twin Cities and then to Stewartville in 1968. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Darris Doerr of Burnsville, MN; Mary Ann (Gene) (Frenzen) Bamlet of Hayfield, MN; and Jodie Marie Appel of Eyota, MN; three sons, Daren of Sacramento, CA; Timothy of Owatonna, MN; and Philip of Stewartville; thirteen grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. A son Kevin Lee, and a sister Phyllis preceded her in death.
