Marilyn ?Tweeds? Joan Johnson, 74, of Red Wing, died Monday at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. She was born on July 30, 1931 in Red Wing to Hjalmer and Florence (Dahl) Hultquist. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1949 and on May 5, 1951 married Glenn E. Johnson at First Lutheran Church. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. For 30 years she worked for Red Wing Shoe Company retiring in 1993. She was a member of United Lutheran Church and enjoyed collecting dolls, sewing, going to flea markets and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Glenn E.; three children, Randall (Joyce) Johnson of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Bradley (Annette) Johnson of Hager City and Pamela (Kevin) Seyffer of Red Wing; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Beverly (Virgil) Mischke of Red Wing and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at United Lutheran Church with Rev. Clark Cary officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony and Alex Seyffer, Ryan Tebbe, Stanley Johnson, Jim Giencke and Jerry Dempsey. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
