Marilyn Anne Dose

Funeral services for Marilyn Anne Dose will be held Sunday October 18th at 3:00 PM at Rochester Covenant Church, 4950 31st Avenue NW in Rochester. The Reverend Gary Downing will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Prairie Cemetery in Rochester. Mrs. Dose, 78, of Rochester, died Thursday October 15, 2009 at Saint Mary's Hospital.

Marilyn Anne Gray was born December 30, 1930 near Lake City. Raised on a farm, she was a graduate of the School of Agriculture, University of Minnesota in Saint Paul. On November 15, 1958 she married Fritz Dose in Lake City. Most notably, Marilyn was a demo lady at Cub Foods and Sam's Club in Rochester. She enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes, jigsaw puzzles, and reading and writing poetry. She also enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and especially her grandchildren. She was active in Bible study, and was devout in prayer.

She was a member of Rochester Covenant Church, the American Legion Auxiliary in Mazeppa, and was a former member of Saint John's Lutheran Church in Mazeppa.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Trudie) Dose of South Haven, Michigan, Scott Dose (Deb Faucett) of Maple Grove, Ann Dose of Rochester, and Carol Dose of Rochester; two grandchildren, Megan and Trevor Dose of South Haven, Michigan; a brother, Arthur Gray of Lake City; a sister, Evelyn Gray, also of Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Dose; parents, Walter and Clara Gray; two brothers, Glenn and Walt Gray; and an unborn child.

Friends may call Saturday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel at 1624 37th Street NW. The visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday.
