Marilyn Lois Anderson

Marilyn L. Anderson, age 85, was called to her heavenly home on May 11, 2020 at Samaritan Bethany on 8th, following a short illness. Marilyn was born on November 17, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Charles R. and Dorothy V. (Sasek) Machek. She married Robert O. Anderson on June 19, 1954. They made Illinois their home until 1995 when they moved to Rochester. Marilyn loved animals and volunteering at the Mayo Clinic. She enjoyed traveling on bus trips with her best friend and son's mother-in-law Loraine Mitchell. She will be dearly missed by many. Marilyn is survived by her daughter Dotti (Brian) Gulledge of Downers Grove, IL, her son Robert (Mary Ann) of Rochester, MN and her beloved grand-dog Jazzy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; sister Dorothy Brautigam. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, service and interment in Illinois will be private. A celebration of life will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Paws and Claws or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
