MARIE B. PRESTEMON (RABENT)
Born September 28, 1915, Marie B. Prestemon died Saturday September 19, 2009 at the Seasons Hospice House at the age of 93. Formerly of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, she moved to Rochester in 2000 to be near her family. Her love and devotion to family was evident to all of us.
Rarely calling attention to herself, she wanted happiness and the best for others. Marie enjoyed time at the cabin with family, fishing with grandchildren, cooking for others, bird feeding and bird watching, winters in Arizona with her husband and, most of all, family gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and her three sisters. Surviving are her daughter Juanita (Dave) Griffin of Rochester and son Ray (Sandy) Prestemon of Lanesboro; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other extended family members and friends. We will cherish the wonderful times shared with Marie and will miss her very much.
A celebration of Marie's life will be held Saturday October 3rd at 2:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel, 1624 - 37th Street NW.
