Marie Therese. Heise, age 84, of Lake City, passed away Monday, November 8, 2010 at her home.
Marie was born February 20, 1926 in Rochester, MN to Thomas & Irene (McNallan) Sweeney. She grew up in the rural Zumbro Falls area and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City. She married Roy Heise September 3, 1946 at St. Patrickâ?TMs Catholic Church in West Albany. After they were married, they farmed in the Oak Center area until they moved to Lake City in 1979. She was a member of St. Maryâ?TMs Catholic Church in Lake City. Marie was a Life Member of the Lake City VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Lake City Hospital Auxiliary and she also did Tela Care in Lake City. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by, three daughters Jean (David) Buck of Lake City, Rita (Rod) Adams of Wabasha, Mary Withers of Ashland City, Tennessee; 12 grandchildren, one step-grandson; 23 great grandchildren; two sisters Katherine (Kenneth) Atkinson of Red Wing, Elaine (Tony) Horne New Market, TN . Her parents, a son Charles, four brothers, Jack, Thomas, Pat and Michael, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 12, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. Maryâ?TMs Catholic Church in Lake City with Father Robert Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. Maryâ?TMs Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
