Marian Wohlers

Marian M. Wohlers age 92 of Lake City died June 25, 2006 at the Lake City Nursing Home. Marian was born March 9, 1914 in Mt. Pleasant Township in Wabasha County to John A. & Clara (Wills) Beck. She attended Country School District # 12 and graduated from McCahill High School in Lake City in 1932. She married Reinhardt Wohlers May 1, 1935 in Lake City. They farmed in the Lake City area until 1967. She worked at the Lake City Hospital from 1967 to 1984. She enjoyed traveling both abroad and locally. She was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lake City and was very active volunteering for many church groups. Her husband Reinhardt died March 24, 1967. She is survived by one son Byron (Irene) Wohlers of Lake City, one daughter Mary Ann (Richard) O?Brien of Red Wing; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; a special friend Don Eggenberger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son Gerald; two brothers Wilbur and John P Beck.; one great grand daughter Jacquelyn Lane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Lake City with Father James Russell officiating. Burial will be in St. John?s Cemetery in Lake City.
