Margaret Louise White

January 3, 1916 — November 4, 2015

Margaret White, 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Cherrywood in St. Cloud. The family extends their gratitude to Cherrywood staff.
She was born to Fred and Esther Olson in Red Wing. She attended St. Olaf, graduated from Minneapolis Business College, and worked as a secretary. She went on to become the private secretary to the president of ADM. On June 14, 1941, she married Jack White and raised her 2 children.
Margaret felt strongly about helping others. She was a volunteer at Cambridge State Hospital, a member of Eastern Star, Federated Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran Church, Civic Betterment Club, and Princeton Hospital Auxiliary.
She lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed entertaining at the lake, making new friends, carousels, formal teas, playing bridge, tennis, golf, camping, and traveling.
Family and friends meant everything to Margaret. Survived by loving daughter Susan Colt (Jim), son John (Linda), 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and other family.
Private burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Celebration of life at 11:00 a.m. on Sat., Nov. 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 111 6th Ave N, Princeton. Lunch will be served. Memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church http://www.trinity-princeton.org .
Margaret's sunny disposition, laugh and smile will be dearly missed. We loved her ever so very.
