Margaret Ann Webster

A memorial visitation for Margaret Webster will be held Wednesday July 9th from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel. Mrs. Webster's urn will be placed later in the week in the columbarium at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester. She died Friday July 4, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Hospital - Saint Marys campus in Rochester at the age 89.
Margaret Ann Foster was born December 15, 1924 in Attica, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth "Earl" and Olive Foster. Raised on a farm near Attica, she was a graduate of the public schools in Attica. She attended business college and then moved to Battle Creek, Michigan. She married Ralph J. Webster on August 20, 1946 in Rochester. She was an accountant in a CPA firm, most recently known as Coffman, Nehring, and Christopherson. She retired at age 65, and then worked part-time for many years at the Sherwin-Williams store on North Broadway. In retirement she was a part owner of several thoroughbred horses that raced at Canterbury Downs. She was active at the Rochester Senior Citizens, and for 20 years was the head of the knitting group there. Her love for knitting benefitted Head Start and other charitable organizations. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church in Rochester.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Webster and her son Rick Webster, both of Rochester. Also surviving is a brother, Dale (Jeannie) Foster, of Williamsport, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Webster, a brother Kenneth Foster, and a sister Marjorie Mushrush.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Mayo Hospice.
