Margaret Mary Tri, 79, of Mazeppa passed away on October 16, 2020 at the Lake City Care Center after residing there for the past 5 years and 1 day.
Margaret Mary Reiland was born September 12, 1941 in Red Wing, MN to Bernard and Cyril (Barry) Reiland.
She graduated from Mazeppa High School and went on to work at St. Marys Hospital-Rochester as a Nurse Aid and Unit Assistant for 15 years.
On May 10, 1969, she married Donald A. Tri at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa. The couple made their home in Mazeppa where they raised their two daughters.
Margaret enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and volunteering her time with the Ladies Guild at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church . Her greatest joy though, was the time she spent with her grandsons RJ and Lukas. She enjoyed watching them and attending the many activities they were involved in.
Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Anne (Paul) Swenson of Byron and Teresa (Rich) Sylak of Zumbrota; two grandsons, Richard Sylak III (RJ) and Lukas Swenson; brother, Bernie Reiland; sisters, Liz (Joe) Melvin, Helen (Mike Holtorf) Reiland, and Rose (Stan) Ferguson; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald (February 14, 2010); her parents, Bernard and Cyril Reiland; and brother, John Reiland and sister-in-law, Ella-May Reiland.
A private family graveside service will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 1:00 PM at the Mazeppa Cemetery. The family is encouraging everyone attending to social distance and wear a face mask.
