Margaret 'Peg' Ann Quinn, 83 of Red Wing died Saturday, March 25, 2006 at her home. She was born on June 8, 1922 in New Ulm, Minnesota to Joseph and Lillian (Frasch) Schuster. She graduated from Cathedral High School in New Ulm and attended St. Catherine?s and Mankato State Teacher?s College. On May 16, 1945 she married Burton Quinn in New Ulm. They lived in Red Wing for many years. He died on May 19, 1991. She was a tenant coordinator for Jordan Towers for five years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, the St. Joseph's School ABCD group, Red Wing Country Club and the Booster Club. She was also honorary chairwoman for the Mississippi Shuffle and coordinated the Cancer Support Group. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge and playing the piano. Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Befort of Red Wing and one son, Patrick (Susan) Quinn of Brighton, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Jon, Joel and Jason Befort, Calla Kevan, Lisa, Meghan, Kristen and Brady Quinn and Amy Quinn-Oian and seven of the Cassidy nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Michael on January 30, 1981 and one daughter, Maureen Quinn Strange on January 8, 2006. Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Thomas M. Kommers presiding. Burial will be private in the Calvary Cemetery. Urnbearer will be Brady Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Jon, Joel and Jason Befort, Calla Kevan, Lisa, Meghan and Kristen Quinn, Amy Quinn-Oian, Calla Kevan and Joe Johnson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with an 8 p.m. prayer service Wednesday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to St. Josephs School or American Cancer Society.
