Margaret J. "Peg" Kyllo

Margaret J. "Peg" Kyllo age 84 of Wanamingo died on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at North Ridge View in Kenyon. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Aspelund with Pastor Martin Horn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, September 7, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
Margaret Jane Goodman was born on August 14, 1931 at home in rural Rochester, MN to Glenn and Helen (Rossi) Goodman. She grew up in rural Rochester, graduated from Pine Island High School in 1948 and worked at Montgomery Wards in Rochester.
On May 12, 1950 she married Walton Kyllo at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in Pine Island. They farmed near Aspelund until 1965 when they moved to Belle Creek Township. They farmed in Belle Creek Township until 2000 when they moved to Wanamingo in July of 2011 she moved to North Ridge View in Kenyon. Peg was a member of Belle Creek Belles Home Extension and active in the WMF at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed baking, sewing and spending time with friends and family.
Peg is survived by her four children, Ronald (Karen) Kyllo of Goodhue, Katherine (Dale) Hadler of Goodhue, Paul (Susan) Kyllo of Byron and Sara (Tom) Haugen of Goodhue; twelve grandchildren, Douglas (Brandi) Kyllo, Todd Kyllo, Jennifer (Ken Norris) Kyllo, Elizabeth (Jay) Cannon, Kimberly (Karl) Gronvall, Marna (Alex Hills) Hadler, Rachel (Isaac) Schendel, Carolyn Kyllo, Annette Kyllo, Amy Kyllo, Michael (Adrienne) Haugen and Karl Haugen; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Willis "Bill" (Eloise) Goodman and Maurice "Brownie" (Roberta "Bobbie") Goodman both of Wanamingo; sister-in-law Mary Goodman of Zumbrota; many nieces and nephews; and numerous Kyllo family brother and sisters-in-law.
Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Walton, parents Glenn and Helen; brother, Kenneth Goodman; and sister, Barbara Goodman.
