Mardell Huppert

Mardell Huppert, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Mayo Lake City Care Center.

Mardell was born on June 27, 1936 to Rudy & Frances Meyer in Lake City, MN. She attended Lincoln High School and graduated in 1954. On June 8, 1957, Mardell married Richard Huppert at St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, MN. She worked for IBP equipment for many years until the business relocated to Wabasha. Mardell then retired. She enjoyed many years of playing cards, shopping, spending time with family and friends.

Mardell is survived by her children, Tamara (Steve) Breutzman, Robert (Gail) Huppert, and Rebecca (Mike) VanDeWalker; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas (Emily) Breutzman, Kayla VanDeWalker (Eric Evers), Nathan (Erica) Huppert, & Jennifer and Riley Huppert; 7 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; her brother, Ralph Meyer.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 2 pm, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City. Officiating is Reverand Rob Robbert. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City. Online condolences may be left at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
