Marcine Adolphson

Marcine Leonora Adolphson (nee Kirchhoff), 87, of Rochester, formerly of Red Wing, died February 25, 2007 at Samaritan Bethany Heights Nursing Home in Rochester. She was born October 17, 1919 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Gustave and Mina "Minnie" (nee Falke) Kirchhoff. Marcine graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1937. She earned her registered nursing degree in 1940 at St. John?s Hospital in Red Wing and served in several hospitals including the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Marcine married Raymond Victor Adolphson of Burlington, Iowa in 1942. After returning to Red Wing, she became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek. Survivors include her son, John (Cheryl) Adolphson; granddaughter, Susan (Corey) Henke and grandson, David Adolphson all of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her son, James and her parents, Gustave and Mina Kirchhoff.A memorial service will be held at a later date at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hay Creek. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Epilepsy Foundation.
