Marcella Haggerty, 41, Winona, died Monday at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona following a pedestrian automobile accident. She was born February 16, 1966 in Rochester, Minn, the daughter of Kenneth and Mary (Blahnik) Haggerty. She graduated from Goodhue High School in 1984 and graduated from Mankato State with degrees in Accounting and Mass Communication. She lived in the Red Wing area for 5 years and moved to Winona where she worked for Riverport Inn. She enjoyed music, reading, video games and spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her parents of Goodhue; six siblings: Margaret Dalmeida of Kellogg, Melinda (Mark) Boyd of Albuquerque, NM, Melissa (Pat) Haeska of Lake City, Joseph (Deanna) Haggerty of New Richland, Monica (Brandon) Schafer of Goodhue and Jason Haggerty of Minneapolis; her Godson, Jordan Warren of Goodhue; nine nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mabel Haggerty and her maternal Grandparents, Louis and Mary Blahnik.

Funeral will be 10 a. m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic in Goodhue with Father Bruce Peterson officiating. Burial will be in St. Columbkill's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jordan Warren, Aaron Haggerty, Joseph Warren, Gary Haggerty, Jim Blahnik, Joe Blahnik, Don Blahnik and Fred Blahnik. Honorary pallbearers will be Maxwell Schafer, Kenny Schafer and Norman Boyd. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to the service all at the church. Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodeldon-Mahn Chapel is handling arrangements.
