Marcella "Sally" Clara Greer, 81 of Zumbro Falls, died Friday, May 18, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born on September 18, 1925 in Mazeppa, Minnesota to John J. and Alvina M. (Dammann) Luhmann. She grew up in Zumbro Falls and attended the Little Red School in South Troy and school in Zumbro Falls. She married Earl Greer on October 24, 1952 in Potsdam, Minnesota. They lived in Zumbro Falls and she worked at Telex Communications in Rochester until retiring after 32 years. Earl died June 15, 1995. She was a member of Zumbro Falls United Methodist Church. She enjoyed having family gatherings, cooking, baking, farming, vegetable and flower gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis (Al) Krause and Darla Yennie both of Zumbro Falls; three sons, Virgil (Marcine) Luhmann and Marlen (Joyce) Greer all of Zumbro Falls and Melvin (Brenda) Greer of Millville; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Berdeen (Vernon) Betcher of Mazeppa and Audrey Luhmann of Zumbro Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Mark Luhmann, four brothers, Wilmer, Ehrenfried, John and Elmer; two sisters, Eleanor Lohman and Mildred Luhmann.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zumbro Falls United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Zumbro Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel and at the church for one hour prior to the service.
