Malinda Scharlottie Schilling,91, Red Wing, died Thursday at St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park. She was born November 1, 1914 in Zumbrota, Minnesota, the daughter of Carl and Martha (Mann) Brunckhorst. She was schooled at Bellechester School District 101. She worked at Red Wing Shoe Company and did housework. She married Arthur Schilling on September 18, 1937 in Zumbrota. The couple farmed in Hay Creek Township for many years, moving to Red Wing in 1978. Arthur died September 14, 1995. She was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, Goodhue Seniors and of Hay Creek Homemakers and she enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include one daughter, Ardelle (Wayne) Lemar of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; one son, Wayne (Marilyn) Schilling of Red Wing; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, George and Edwin Brunckhorst; and one sister, Alvira Kenall. Funeral will be 11 a. m. Monday at St. John?s Lutheran Church with Reverend Todd Engel officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tamara and Michelle Heram, Diana Cukla, Linda Ingalls, Andrew, Rebecca and Timothy Schilling. Visitation will be 3-5 p. m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to St. John?s Lutheran Church or the St. Brigid?s at Hi-Park Chapel Fund.
