LuVerle Minnie Roschen

LuVerle Minne Roschen, 88, of Red Wing, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Seminary Home. She was born August 19, 1924 in Mazeppa to John and Clara (Prigge) Damman. She grew up and attended country school in the Mazeppa area. On September 19, 1944 she married Willard Roschen. She worked at Durkee Atwood for two years before farming in Hay Creek Township for 10 years. She then worked at Nybos for a year and a half before moving onto Riedell where she worked for 28 years until her retirement in 1987. LuVerle was a member of the VFW auxiliary, Red Men Club Nakomis #27 and Concordia Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and 500, Bingo, crocheting and spending time with her grand kids and great-grand kids.
LuVerle is survived by one son, Delmar (Shirley )Roschen Sr. of Red Wing; two daughters, Diane (Jesse) Hohmann of Bay City and Delane (Frank) Claflin of River Falls; 12 grandchildren, Delmar Jr., Dennis, Duane, David and Daryl Roschen, Daphne and Derick Hohmann, Jessica Huppert and Ben Hohmann, Diana Gilbertson, Josh Claflin, Kari Ann Leier,; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; one grandson, Terrance; two sisters, Rozella Mueller and Laurinda Schultz; and one brother, Elton Damman.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Red Wing with Pastor Tyge Zucker officiating. Burial will follow at Burnside Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn chapel and one hour prior to the service at church.
