Luella Halpaus

Luella E. Halpaus age 86 of Lake City passed away April 10, 2008 at the Lake City Nursing Home.

Luella was born May 23, 1921 in Lake City Minnesota to Joseph & Clara (Mickow) Rolandt. Luella grew up in the Lake City area. She married John E. Halpaus. The lived in the Lake City area and she worked at Zero King Coat Factory in Lake City as a floor supervisor for many years. John died in 1981. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, puppy dogs and feeding the birds.

Luella is survived by a son, John (Patricia) Halpaus of Red Wing; one granddaughter; two great grandsons; two great great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; two step-great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, David Rolandt.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Bruce Stam officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the Church.
