Luella Frances Flynn, 99, of Red Wing, died Friday, November 19, 2010 at the Fairview Red Wing Seminary Home. She was born February 25, 1911 in Gillford Township to Lewis and Frances (Knaup) Henn. She attended St. Joseph's School and Kalfahs Business School. On April 2, 1932, she married Ralph Flynn at St. Joseph's Church by Reverend Daly. She worked at La Grange Shoe Company and Buchanan Grocery. Ralph died March 8, 1991. Luella was a member of the Red Men Pocahontas and Christ Episcopal Church. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and playing cards.
She is survived by her son, Terry Flynn of Red Wing; 4 grandchildren, Kellee (Steve) Ames of Rochester, Patrick Flynn of Warrens, Wisconsin, Koleen (Brian) Johnson of Welch and Kathleen (Loren) Benson of Red Wing; 10 great-grandchildren, Shannan, Amy, Brandon, Tyler, Jason, Avyella, Logan, Christian, Hayden and Ella; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Carlin, Mycha and Tynazha; nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband; 3 sisters, Marcella Carlson, Marion Vanberg and Marvel Bolland and a daughter-in-law, Lorraine Flynn.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Regina Nicolosi officiating. Arrangements handled by Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
