Lucille F. Kubik
Lucille Fredereka Kubik, age 85 of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the Lake City Nursing Home. She was born August 24, 1925 in Grandblanc, MI to Lewie and Delilah (Bloss) Myers. She grew up and attended schools in the Lapeer county area. On May 13, 1944, she married Stephen Kubik in Stanton Island, NY, where they lived while Stephen was in the service. Upon his completion in the service they moved to Lapeer county and later to Twining, MI. Stephen passed away on October 4, 1994. Lucille moved to Lake City in 2004. She was a member of the Lapeer county VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Lucille is survived by her seven children, Fred (Judy) of Reese, MI, Daniel (Adele) of Columbiaville, MI, Christine (Jim) Gallien of Turner, MI, Bill (Ailene) of Twining MI, Dawn (Ralph) Koehn of Turner, MI, Cliff (Debbie) of Twining, MI and Joyce (Jim) Wilson of Lake City, MN; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewie and Delilah Myers; husband, Stephen Kubik; and brother, Galen Myers.
Services will be held on May 28, 2011 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, MI with Pastor Todd Petty officiating. A celebration of Lucille's life will follow at Cliff and Debbie's house.
