Lucille Bernice Abraham, 89, Lake City, died Thursday at Lake City, Hospital. She was born October 24, 1917 in Millville, Minnesota, to Herman and Emma (Jacob) Moechnig. She graduated from Lake City High School in 1935 and then attended Business College in the Twin Cities. She married Hollace Abraham on May 30, 1938 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City. Together they owned and operated Abraham Hardware. He died September 6, 1994. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was active in various church activities. She was also a member of the Lake City Country Club. She was a volunteer for the hospital auxiliary, Telecare at Lake City Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed cross country skiing, sewing, golfing, fishing, gardening, playing bridge and walking.

Survivors include four children: Marcia (Maurice) Jablonske of Red Wing; Rosalie (Jerry) Wiebusch of Louisville, Kentucky, Jim (Gail) Abraham of Le Sueur, Minnesota and Joanne Eggenberger of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Edna Bremer of Lake City; one brother-in-law, Howard Boatman of Lake City and one sister-in-law, Judy Wangberg of Sun City West, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Sandra Abraham; three sisters: Helen Blattner, Florence Walters and Evelyn Boatman; one brother, Walter Moechnig.

Funeral will be 2 p. m Sunday, July 15, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Lake City with Reverends Dennis Valleau and Scott Carmichael officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Deborah and Michael Jablonske, Todd Wiebusch, Greta Sommers, Kendra Maus, Jackson Eggenberger, Shaina Abraham. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p. m. Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the church or Alzheimer's Association.
