Louis Edward Peterson

A memorial service for Louis Peterson will be held Saturday March 10th at 11:00 AM at Stordahl Lutheran Church, rural Pine Island. The Reverend Kathleen Lowery will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, and burial of the urn will follow the service at the Stordahl Lutheran Church cemetery. Mr. Peterson, 64, of Pine Island, died Wednesday February 21, 2018 at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island.
Louis Edward Peterson was born December 30, 1953 in Zumbrota. A lifelong resident of Goodhue County, he attended the public schools of Wanamingo. He farmed on the family farm in Roscoe Township, and worked for Albert's Dairy for more than twenty years. He enjoyed shopping, movies, and family gatherings.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Ehlenfeldt and her friend Orland Walstad of Pine Island, Julie (Alex) Dominguez of Minneapolis, Nancy (David) Plite of Pearland, Texas; brothers, Terry (Cheryl) Peterson of Pine Island, and James (Lolita) Peterson of Chesapeake, Virginia. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Myrtle Peterson; and a nephew, Brent Finstuen.
