Louetta Marie Schafer

Louetta Marie Schafer, age 67 of Goodhue passed away suddenly, September 3, 2010 at home.
Louetta was born April 14, 1943 in Red Wing, to Carl & Viola (Dicke) Rohe. She graduated from Goodhue High School in 1961. Louetta attended the University of North Dakota from which she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She married Larry Schafer on August 14, 1965 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Belvidere. They lived and farmed in Belvidere Township. She worked at American Bank in Lake City from 1992 until retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church Belvidere. Louetta used her nursing degree all her life, from the time spent working in the hospital, to the time spent nursing her husband, children and grandchildren.
Louetta is survived by her husband, Larry; a daughter, Ellen Schafer of Apple Valley; a son, Patrick (Theresa) of Goodhue; three grandchildren, Ashley Schafer, Heather (Travis) Grobe, Matthew Schafer; her mother, Viola Rohe of Red Wing; two brothers Chuck (Mary) Rohe of Zumbrota, Bill (Jackie) Rohe of Wykoff; a sister Barb (Jay) Isler of Goldendale, WA. She was preceded in death by her father.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St Peter's Lutheran Church Belvidere with the Rev. Scott Fiege officiating. Burial will in St. Peter's Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 8 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.
