Lorraine Mae Mann

Lorraine Mae Mann, 83, of Red Wing, died Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Seminary Home. She was born November 6, 1930 to Henry and Marie (Hensel) Walther in La Crosse, Wis. She resided a short time in Hokah before graduating from Houston High School in 1948. On November 26, 1949, she married Benjamin Mann in Hokah. The couple resided in the Red Wing area, Maiden Rock and Hager City. She was employed by Josten's Diploma Division for nearly 20 years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Red Wing. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles and going for coffee with her friends.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Barry) Foster of Red Wing and Jim (Sandy) Mann of Lake Park; six grandchildren, Amy (Scott) Langowski of New Market, Dan (Charleen) Schliep of San Antonio, Texas, Nate (Renee) Marks of Shakopee, Greta (Brett) Riewer and Josh Mann, both of Lake Park and Angie (Heather) Krause of Moorhead; seven great grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Brady, Casey, Erika, Cyrus, Rockne; one great great grandchild, Harmony; two step grandchildren, Rhonda and Renee Foster; and two step great grandchildren, Nivada and Seaira Foster.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin and her parents.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Todd Engel officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hokah. Visitation will be from 5-8, Wednesday, January 22 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials are preferred to the church or Red Wing Hospice.
