Lorraine "Lorry" M. Anderson

Lorraine "Lorry" Anderson, 87, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at St. Crispin Living Community. She was born May 16, 1932 in Goodhue Township to Theodore "Ted" and Mildred (Oelkers) Zemke. She attended school in rural Goodhue until the family moved to Red Wing where she started the 6th grade at Colvill School. She graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1950 and began working at the First National Bank. She later went on to work as the receptionist for office of the president of the University of Minnesota. She returned to Red Wing and married Arlie Anderson on October 30, 1954. She spent most of her working life as a legal secretary, first for Bill Christianson, and later with Vogel and Gorman where she also was a tax preparer. She retired in 2013 at the age of 80. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Lorry enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bridge, working in her garden and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons; Kip (Candace) of Littleton, Colorado and Kirby (Jan) Anderson of Red Wing; three grandchildren, Alexandra and Carson of Red Wing and Laura of Littleton, Colorado; sisters, Elaine Jorgenson, Marian (Ron) Tesdall and Arline Anderson; sisters-in-law, Holly Zemke and Jeanne Bergner.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arlie; parents; 2 brothers, Orlin and Gary; 1 sister, Berdell Eastlund; sister-in-law, Shirley Zemke; brother-in-law, Cal Eastlund and Bob Andersen.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Arthur Sharot officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.
