Loren Charles Franks

Loren Charles Franks, III, 60, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at his home in Red Wing. Loren was born on June 20, 1953 in Anchorage, Alaska. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved rock hunting, animals, and cooking, but not as much as hiking in the woods, hunting and fishing. He will always be remembered as "Papa" by his grandson, Hokken and missed greatly by his son, Jeremy (Angela), daughter, Jessica (Tony) Lehman, sisters, Laurette (Don) Hove and Tina Scully and brother, Tim (Sherri), numerous nieces and nephews and his fishing and hunting buddies. He has now joined together again with his mother, Doris, step-father, Cal, brother Tommy, and his beloved dogs, Heidi, Checker, Sarah and Julie.

A private celebration of life will be held to reminisce and look back fondly on his life as a friend, father, brother and grandfather.
