Loren J. Bach, 83, of Red Wing, died Friday, Nov. 26, at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. He was born on May 17, 1927 in Salem Township, Pierce County, Wis. He attended schools in Wisconsin and on November 15, 1946 he married Lucille Tyler. He served in the US Army National Guard. For 40 years he worked for Red Wing Shoe Company retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Harding- Hall- Darrington #357 American Legion Post in Bay City and the Redman Club. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille; three daughters, Linda (Dennis) Holden, LouAnn (Gerald) Quade and Lori (Thomas) Ulm all of Red Wing; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Leo Bach of Luck, Wisconsin; one sister, Lorraine Nelson of Red Wing and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Lavern, one grandson, Loren Holden; one sister, Grace Larson and two brothers, Raymond and Melvin.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Burial will be in the Bay City Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Leon Mathews, Matt Quiding, Mike Holden, Chris Quade, Curt Koester, and Wade Mallon. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service.
