A memorial gathering, remembering and honoring the life of Lonny Borgschatz, will be held Thursday July 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Rochester Chapel (1624 37th Street NW). Burial of the urn will occur at 7:00 PM at East St. Olaf Cemetery in Rock Dell. Mr. Borgschatz, 53, a former resident of Byron, died Friday June 22, 2012 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Lonny worked as a commercial painter for most of his adult life in the states of Minnesota,Texas and Georgia. Lonny was a United States Marine from 1976-1979.
Lonny is survived by his father, John of Byron, sister Lori (Wayne) Sonnier of Mazeppa, brother Jim (Mary) of Lake City, sister Cathy of Hammond Wisconsin and one son Jon Hufstedler of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice and his grandparents.
