Lola Jane Dodge, 91, of Red Wing, died on Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was born October 31, 1925 to Peter and Veronica Reuter in Cannon Falls. She grew up in Cannon Falls and graduated from Cannon Falls High School in 1943. She was united in marriage to Milo "Mike" Dodge on June 4, 1946 in Cannon Falls. She and Mike raised four children and made their home in Red Wing. Lola was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Wing. She was also part of the Women's Guild, VFW Auxiliary, and the Hospital Auxiliary. Some of her hobbies included gardening, dancing, and traveling. She also enjoyed listening to the Polka Dots and spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Andrew (Patricia) Dodge of Aitkin, Kenneth (Christine) Dodge of Eden Prairie, Katherine (Bruce) Schott of Lewiston, and Sharon (Ron) Andrews of Red Wing; 12 grandchildren, Shannon Jeffries, Brandee (Derek) Beyer, T.J. Schott, Allan (Dee) Andrews, Christene (Randy) Ratzlaff, Michael (Angela) Dodge, Tonia (Mike) Mitchell, Nicole (Brad) Klitzke, Alyssa (Jeff) Moos, Kendra (Tony) Rothenbacher, Matthew (Danyelle) Dodge and Emily (Rob) Franks; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Gloria Still and Lugarda McDonald. Sisters-in-law, Gen Reuter, Shirley Reuter, Marilyn Grosse, Dottie Tomhave, Muriel Dodge, Delores Dodge, Jeanie Dodge and brother-in-law, Donald Dodge.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milo; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Andrews and Nicole Dodge; 3 brothers, Steven, Francis, and Leonard Reuter; in-laws, David McDonald, Glen Still, LaVina Reuter, Grace Bauer, Richard Dodge, Burtton Dodge, Nello Dodge, Rosie Dodge, Alfred Tomhave, and Robert Grosse.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Church of Saint Joseph in Red Wing with Father Meyer presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing.
