Lois & Robert Wrede

July 13, 2016 — November 11, 2016

Lois Marie Wrede (nee Reppe) passed away quietly on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 85 years old in St. Louis Park, MN., surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her cherished sister Ruth Wedge (nee Reppe), and her devoted children Kristin Wrede, Kari Wrede, Sara Hasson, Erik Wrede; her beloved son-in-law Joe Hasson and daughter-in-law Maria Wrede; and grandchildren Reed and Nikki Hasson, and Lukas and Talia Wrede. Her husband of 62 years Robert Bernard Wrede, followed her closely in death on September 3rd, 2016. He was 86 years old at the time of his passing in St. Louis Park, MN. He is also survived by the family noted above, as well as his brother David Wrede of Longmont, CO.
Lois was born in Zumbrota, MN in 1930 to Gena (nee Hjermstad) and Baldwin Reppe. She was a graduate of Zumbrota High School and St. Olaf College with a degree in Home Economics. She had an illustrious and fulfilling career teaching classes in couture clothing, gourmet cooking and needlework. She lived a very full life and traveled all over the world with her husband Robert. However, her biggest love was for Robert, her family, and her network of friends who spanned the globe. She will be remembered most for her love, compassion and her culinary skills.
Robert was born in Kasson, MN. in 1930 to Margaret (nee Way) and Bernard Wrede. He was a graduate of Kasson High School and St. Olaf college. He worked for 37 years for Kimberly Clark Corporation in Neenah, WI - primarily in workers' compensation. Robert loved golf, gardening and the Green Bay Packers...but most importantly Lois. He will be remembered for his quiet compassion, his stalwart work ethic and his enjoyment of Lois' cooking.
A celebration of life service will be held at United Redeemer Lutheran for both Lois and Bob on Wednesday, November 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in Zumbrota, MN.
